NOTHING BREAKS LIKE A HEART

Doesn’t it seem that something positive can often emerge from a broken heart? A tender heart has unlimited "give" - it is open and receptive, while a brittle or contracted heart—a heart focused solely on me and mine—has no choice but to break. If we allow our heart to continuously break as a practice, we will make space for the infinite suffering and beauty of our world, excluding no one.

We become what we put into ourselves, so you could say that tenderness can become the substratum of our responses.

Consequently, it narrows the seemingly unbridgeable chasm that separates us from others. So let it break.
